With eleven days to go until the competition begins, the teams will be preparing with great determination for the three rounds that have been prepared to test every aspect of their negotiating abilities. Here at the University, we are making final arrangements, in an effort to ensure that everything proceeds smoothly. There are a few things that everyone can help us with when the big day arrives:
1. Try to register on the Monday! We understand that some people won't be arriving until the Tuesday, but the Monday is that rare moment throughout the week where we won't have other events to deal with at the same time, and so we can give you our full attention. Registration is a wonderful opportunity to ask any questions that you may have, and we will be open for this purpose from 14.00 to 18.00.
If you are arriving later in the day on the Tuesday, don't worry, we will keep a registration desk open for the day.
2. Arrive on time! As you will have seen from the Programme, we have arranged a packed day of events, and we are hoping to run the schedule as smoothly as possible from the start; this will be made easier if everyone is ready to go by 9.55 on the Tuesday.
3. Make sure you get any Ambiguity questions sent to Nancy or Larry ahead of the Ambiguity Session that is taking place on the Tuesday. The purpose of this session is to give you all the chance to have any genuine confusion cleared up. This will be far easier to deal with if Nancy has the questions ahead of time. Questions can be asked on the day, but it won't be as easy to give a full and clear answer, particularly as the Committee will be dealing with four rooms asking questions.
4. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us! We are more than happy to help.
Looking forward to meeting everyone; I am tweeting on @ParryMJ on a daily basis about the Masterclass sessions.
